About me, the “Ciao Emilia” blog, and the passion for Emilia and writing.
Hello, I’m Francesca and I’m the creator of this blog dedicated to Emilia, the land where I was born and raised. I love writing; it’s my passion.

Growing up listening to opera music alternating with local folk songs strengthened my awareness of belonging to and living in a wonderful and unique place in the world: Emilia.
I’ve traveled a lot since I was a young girl to learn languages, and perhaps this constant wandering has helped me discover who I am and a sense of belonging to my land that I didn’t know I had.
One day, during a walk in the fields near home with Vicky, I had the feeling that sooner or later I would put my passion down on paper.
Emilia is a land that few people know, except for its food and wine traditions or the presence of important automotive brands, but in Emilia, I assure you, there is so much more to discover.
From Piacenza to Parma, from Reggio Emilia to Modena, from Bologna to Ferrara, it’s a succession of landscapes to explore and stories to tell. Tales of a people who have made their territory and cities into poems to be narrated to anyone who wants to stop, even if just for a moment, in this strip of land bordering Lombardy, Tuscany, and Veneto.
Through the stories I write, my desire is to capture and convey snapshots of life and places that will remain memorable in the minds of us travelers.
Francesca
